Tournament and other random stuff.
Holy cow I love Seattle!!! I do believe I found were I want to live some day. I'm loving all the rain were getting, its such a nice change to dry ol' Colorado.
When we rode on the Fairy I felt so poetic and artistic. I enjoyed it sooo much, The wind in my hair and rain falling gently on my cheeks. It was amazing you all should have been there.
The tournament is going really well for all of us. Zack and my duo is doing really well so far, Our first round was so far the best. We didn't mess up once!!! I was so proud of us. Our second was good but we don't feel like its the best. We have one more round to go before we know if we break.
Everyone else's duo is doing amazing. Josiah and Jennie's got a lot of laughs and people seem to love it :)
Josh, Ashley, and Zach are all running around like mad men, and we hardly see them until we get to the hotel. But there doing great in everything there doing :D
The lovely debaters are doing great, Sarah, Caleb, and I have been good children and have watched every round so far. We were obviously BORED!!!
Well I shall say good bye for now cause were gonna go get lunch :)
Love you all and wish you were here,
Katrina

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY!
SO We get to the car this morning and Jennie's hair is all curly and pretty and then there is the rest of us.... BLA! lol My hair is not doing so great... it's defiantly very odd. Speaking of hair! Amber and my duo is doing really good :) We have found some pixie dust and are having fun! Caleb, Hannah, and I have watched every debate round and so far our teams are doing amazing! They are all so competitive and professional! Yet when they are done they are still the same wacko people we all know and love! As far as I have seen all the speech's are doing really good too :) every one comes out pretty satisfied:) (RANDOM: There are realllly pretty flowers out side the window and with the rain it's soooo amazing! Isn't God good! oh and miss Kim is taking pictures ;) lol )
But yes God has been really good giving us some really cool "friend time". I'm getting to know a lot of people better old friends are becoming closer and new friends are poping up every where! I could talk for ever right about now but I won't bore you any more! lol
BUT we have breaks tonight for debate and maybe IE so keep us in your prayers :)
We'll keep you updated!

WHERES THE CREAM FILLING?!?
WHERES THE CREAM FILLING?!? i ask this because when we first arrived in seattle I found it all to be extremely bland. but that was before I found the cream filling, the true reason to fly to seattle if even for a day.
and that was...THE MUSIC MUSEUM! it was freakin awesome! i was in sev enth heaven, as was josiah. we went back the next day and actually recorded one of the songs we have been working on for some time and havent been able to record. So as for the begining of the trip it has been freakin awesome. Tomorrow we start competition. Im extremely nervous but weather we win or loose I have no regrets of flying out for this very enjoyable trip and escape with all my friends.
I FREAKIN LOVE YOU GUYS!

Whoosh...
Whoosh...what a fantastic day yesterday!! I had tons of fun going places with my team. Just goofing off and hanging out, it really was a great start to our trip. Many people were tired though, so getting them awake in the morning was quite the task, but soon we acheived our goal and everyone was on the same level. First in the morning we visited the Fish Market, and goodness what an interesting place that was! From stacked crabs to kissing dragons, it seemed to have everything that was out of the ordinary! Next we practically ran to the Starbucks across the street. My favorite part was when I found out Zach had the employees write "Hail to the King" on his coffee cup to say when it was ready. After that was of course the Ferry...I enjoyed that so much! Even though it was cold, wow it sure was beautiful and relaxing. I think everyone should have been there. At the sace needle later we took lots of random, but fun and silly pictures together on our own cameras and that really let the day shine. And to finish off our day, dinner with chowder and other things. Now, just know now that I (Amber) do not eat chowder, I simply cannot stomach it. But I wanted to try some, so after almost everybody was finished I took a try at some with salmon in it. NEVER again!! It was revoltingly disgusting! But nonetheless amusing. That pretty much caps my day, those moments I just shared plus the silly moments of dancing in the car, singing horribly to boring songs, and laughing with no worries about the tournament gave me an amazing sense of calm of what lies ahead. I hope you've enjoyed reading my version of the day, we miss you all back home! But now it is time for breakfast, so I shall take my leave. Later! ;o)

Okay... So I was informed that I must write up the other name proposals for our blog. They are:
Salt in the Rain - Sarah C.
Amber and Club in Seattle - Uhm, if you can't figure this out then I think there is no hope for you.
Salt, Seattle, Rain - Amanda
SALTeens in the Rain (Sung to the tune of "Singing in the Rain") - Amber
SALT and Light in the Gloom of Seattle - Sarah C.
Seattle Sea Salt - Amanda
SALT "See" Water - Kim
Do you see a theme throughout these names? Jonathan when asked what he would like to name the blog he just said he wanted to sleep. Typical boy...
Oh yes, and my mom says that, "When asked who ordered the rain, Ashley said she did." In my defense, I love dancing in the rain, and I can't wait for Jennie to show up so that we may dance in the rain together. Josh may come too, since he invited himself. But dancing in the rain is truly invigorating, so if you haven't done it I urge to go out and do a rain dance. After the rain starts falling, then continue your dance, and let me know how you feel afterwards. :-)

So the first batch of us have arrived in Seattle. The Vanders, Liddiards, and Sarah Carr are all driving to the hotel right now, and I might add that we are literally packed in this van. With all the luggage, Jonathan is buried. And I am not even kidding. There are six suitcases surrounding him. But he says that if we are in a car accident he will have nice padding. ;-)
It's raining up here, and we can't come to a consensus on whether or not this is a good thing. I love it, while my mom does not. But it is so nice to finally be off the plane where I can stretch my legs. I am looking forward to getting a good night's rest and sight seeing tomorrow, although I think that I will faint when we get to the observation deck at the space needle. *sigh*
I have to go now, because I am giving my mom directions, but thank you all for coming and reading our blog. We will keep you updated. And I am proud that I am the first person to get to say, welcome to our Salt in Seattle blog!
